About 3 years ago, I was accepted into WJPA (Wedding Photojournalist Association) which allowed me to joins the ranks of some of the most talented wedding photojournalists in the world as judged by their technical, creative and visual aptitude. These are some of the most talented photographers in the world so entering wedding photo contests was fun but incredibly difficult to rank in the top 20 in any category. Well….I finally placed in the top 20 with this photograph of Molly and Tim’s huge wedding party in 2010! I placed 6th in the creative portrait category! I’m sure many photographers can relate to this photo because at times, we find it a bit difficult to organize such a large group who clearly are in a rush to get to the party! In this shot I embraced the chaos!!
