Rachel + Cameron • Black Point Inn • 5/26/13

This wedding is one of my all time favorites.  There was no over the top design or any elaborate formalities….it was 33 good friends and family gathered from New York, Florida and beyond to celebrate a wedding in the great state of Maine for the weekend.  There were no ties to Maine other than Rachel and Cameron visiting the Black Point Inn in Scarborough and falling in love with it.   Cameron and Rachel actually met in elementary school and “dated” in Middle School.  After years of not seeing each other or knowing where life had taken each other, they were re-united by Cameron’s father being in the hospital.  Rachel’s mother just happened to be the nurse attending to him and that is how Cameron and Rachel re-met.  Cameron’s father has since passed but everyone knew he was at the wedding in spirit.  They also knew there would be no wedding if it was not for him.

From a photographers prospective, I loved that the stormy weekend made this wedding more intimate and mystical looking.  It reminded me of the novel Wuthering Heights so that is how I photographed it.   Of course in Maine the extreme wedding patterns never ceases to amaze as the sun came out toward the end of wedding day to display a gorgeous sunset!   If you would like to see the entire collection of wedding images, please check back after June 3rd.  Until then, please enjoy the sneak peek below!
